The Athens Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by careers of people with dementia and health care professionals interested in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). It aims at raising awareness of all forms of dementia and improving the quality of life of people with dementia and their families. Currently the Association numbers 4.450 official members and is run by a 7-member elected board.
